For
those bidding on items:
- All
bids listed will be anonomous to the public, just like in a real auction,
the seller and bidder will be known only to darksphere. This is done
to avoid direct contact between those using our services for selling
items, and the bidders...as well as privacy for all buyers. Once an
item has been sold, and the necessary fees and information exchanged
with the seller, the name of the winning bidder will be posted. Those
items with sold status, but pending this tranaction will be listed
as pending.
- Items
that have been sold will remain on the auction bord for one week before
being removed.
- If
you place a bid, withdrawl of that bid will be allowed only at the
discretion of the seller. Allowing withdrawls is not at the discretion
of darksphere.
- Bids
will be considered in the order that they are received by darksphere.
For example: If two bids of equal value are received on an item, the
bid received earliest will be the standing bid, the bid received later
will be considered a matching bid, and will not be posted.
- All
bids received must be at or higher than the price listed as the minimum
bid (mb). Bids received that are lower than the minimum bid will not
be considered.
- The
only official record of the bidding on the auction will be the darksphere
auction page. It will be the responsibility of all parties to ensure
that you reload the page, and or delete your web browsers cache to
ensure you are looking at the most current update of the auction.
- As
bidding of items progresses, item will be noted with the following
indicators of their status: going once, going twice, fair warning,
sold.
- If
an item is listed as sold, and you placed the winning bid, you have
seven (7) days to pickup and pay for that item. If you are unable
to meet this obligation to the satisfaction of the seller, the bid
will be considered invalid, and the item will be placed up for auction
at its orginal minimum bid.
- All
bids must be emailed to [email protected]
we will not be responsible for bids sent to the wrong email address,
or to emails that are lost before receipt by darksphere due to technical
problems or acts of god.
- All
bids placed must include your email address, your Gemstone
III characters name, the code number for the item you are bidding
on, and your bid amount. To aid in contacting you, your screen name
for AOL Instant Messenger should also be included. You will only receive
email from darksphere informing you that the auction has been updated.
- Darksphere
will not be held responsible for items that have been described incorrectly
by the seller. We are only offering the service of posting and updating
auction items.
- Darksphere
can not guarantee that sellers using our services will make good on
their offers of items for auction. Darksphere only makes such guarantees
for items sold by or known by members of darksphere, or close friends
of members. Those items are listed with the 'darksphere' symbol next
to them. All other items are sold on a 'buyer beware' basis
- Darksphere
reserves the right to dishonor bids, or remove items if it comes to
our attention that either the bidder or seller is unscrupulous.
- Darksphere
reserves the right to remove items from the auction if they are somehow
lost do to technical problems in Gemstone III.
- Sellers
bidding on non-darksphere guaranteed items must also read and understand
the requirements of the sellers, described in the section below. Darksphere
will not be responsible for unsuccsessful sales due to the seller
failing to complete their obligations to darksphere.
